There are times when it just hits me. It’s a good time to be alive. During the troughs of sadness, the bouts of depression, often it feels like the world is ending. Even if it’s not, one feels like it should. Humanity’s greed and power, it’s passivity and simply the mindless unending routines of our lives forces its weight on our consciousness. We, as humans, have lost what it means to be human.
The passivity of my existence is what got to me to start writing. The urge to create is inborn in some, but for some it’s an afterthought. A realisation that life will just pass me by, if consumption is my only truth. Consuming food, liquor, smoke, entertainment and information. Or is it all clubbed under one name today, “content”.
Seedhe Maut is a breathe of fresh air in our passive lives. The duo is like a shock to the system. They inspire a steady, headfirst dive into a combative life of conflict, and an iron-willed determination to create.
With this one song, 101, they’ve lifted themselves to the top of the game.
